Player Bio

Originally from Bowen in North Queensland, Hockings first developed a love for Rugby at the Bowen Mudcrabs.

At 206cm tall, Hockings is the tallest member of the St.George Queensland Reds squad and seems destined for lofty heights in the game, with incoming Reds head coach Brad Thorn claiming the 19-year-old has the potential to play 100 Tests for Australia – high praise from a man who has achieved so much in the game.

The 2018 season will be Hockings’ first in the Reds squad, after impressing as a member of the Queensland and Australian U20 programs, followed by a season as a regular starter for Bond University Queensland Country in their run to the National Rugby Championship title.

2017
Claimed an undefeated national title with Queensland U20s, represented Australian U20s at the World Rugby U20 Championships and started regularly for Queensland Country in their NRC-winning campaign.
