Super Rugby



The Queensland Rugby Union (QRU) is the governing body of rugby union in Queensland, and is responsible for leading the growth, sustainability and success of rugby in the state via a robust strategic plan in collaboration with Rugby Australia (AU).

The St.George Queensland Reds are the professional team of the Queensland Rugby Union and participate in the Super Rugby competition. The Reds have a rich history of success, having last won the Super Rugby title in 2011 and have played a key role in the development of Wallabies for many years.

The QRU and Rugby AU are seeking an outstanding Assistant Coach - Attack to lead the development and performance of the Reds team attack team performance of the Queensland Reds and contribute strongly to the growth of the game in Queensland and Australia. The successful candidate will be a contemporary and professional elite coach, with proven coaching experiences and impactful leadership skills with the ability to operate within a high-performance team system that delivers results both on and off the field. The Attack Coach position will be well supported by organisational and high-performance strategy, systems, leadership and operational structures including professional development via the national high-performance coaching development program delivered by Rugby AU.

Performance will be measured by delivering:

  • Leadership and integrity
  • Outstanding coaching performance, including technical and tactical expertise and results
  • Learning and development – progression of players, team, staff and self
  • Contribution to the broader Reds high performance system
  • Talent identification and development
  • Contribution to National Programs
  • Collaboration and Relationships – internal (QRU/Reds) and external (Rugby AU, Clubs, community, commercial and media partners)
