Role: Head Coach - Queensland Women
Appointment term: 2-year appointment commencing November 2018, concluding August 2020 (pending formal review at the conclusion of the first year)


The Head Coach of the Queensland Women will have 2 distinct areas of responsibility.

  • In charge of the delivery of the best Rugby Super W program in the country on behalf of Queensland Rugby Union
  • Assist in the coaching of the Queensland Wallaroos PONI group in preparation for the test series against the New Zealand Black Ferns

Rugby Development Manager Position at Norths Rugby Club

The Rugby Development Manager is responsible for the delivery of the Club’s participation goals via schools and player development pathways. Their efforts will promote the benefits and reputation of our club and build the quality and quantity of registered player as a result.

A key outcome of the role will be to attract, retain players and coaches through the development, delivery and implementation of the Club’s Rugby Development Programme

The role will work closely with the Club General Manager, Key Committee members and external bodies such as the QRU, BJRU, GPS, AIC, TAS and State school bodies within our catchment.

Queensland Sevens program management positions available

Please be advised that Queensland Rugby Union is currently accepting applications for team management positions for the below Queensland 7s teams.

Senior State Teams:

  • Queensland Mens - Red
  • Queensland Mens - White

Youth State Teams:

  • Queensland Youth Boys - Red
  • Queensland Youth Boys – White
  • Queensland Youth Girls - Red
  • Queensland Youth Girls – White
  • Queensland Mens - White

These teams will participate in the National 7s Championships (Mens, Womens, Youth Boys and Girls) in December this year:

National 7s Championships (Mens, Youth Boys and Youth Girls)– Ballymore – 6th to 9th December.

Senior Grade Coach Positions Available at Norths Rugby Club

North Brisbane Rugby Club was established in 1928 and has a strong family culture with a focus on the values of Community, Challenge and Respect. The Club competes in the Brisbane Premier Rugby Competition. Norths Rugby Club is experiencing a period of strong growth on and off the field with senior team across the Grade, Colts and Women's competitions.

Positions available:

  • Head Coaches (various)
  • Assistant Coaches (various)
  • Skills Coaches


  • Coaches will provide leadership and direction to the playing group and support staff
  • Assist shape and align with the Club's technical strategy and development plans
  • Assist the Club to identify retention and development needs of individual players
  • Adhere to and assist drive the Club's culture and behavioural standards
  • Communicate effectively with players, other Coaches and support staff
  • Plan a season training calendar in conjunction with the General Manager and Club S&C staff
  • Plan and execute effective training session plans aligned to need of both team and individuals

Essential Requirements:

  • Level 1 Coaching Accreditation
  • Working with children check

Desirable Criteria:

  • Level 2 Coaching Accreditation
  • Level 3 Coaching Accreditation
  • Drivers Licence

2019 Gold Coast Cyclones Coaching and Management Postions

Gold Coast District Rugby Union (GCDRU) are looking for Under 17 Cyclones coaching and management positions for 2019.

It is intended that the team will travel to Japan over the period 30th September to 4 October 2019 to participate in the World Youth Rugby Invitational in Fukuoka Japan.

GCDRU is seeking individuals that have serious passion and drive for developing players in the game of rugby union.

The following key indicators to fulfil the role:

  • Minimum Level 2 Coaching Accreditation.
  • Current Smart Rugby accreditation.
  • Outstanding and proven ability to lead.
  • Expert and proven coaching knowledge and skills.
  • Excellent understanding of the components that contribute to high performance rugby.
  • Excellent people and communication skills.
  • Availability for the program from September 2018 till October 2019.
