Queensland U16 Program - 2017 Team Management Positions Available

Please be advised that Queensland Rugby Union is now accepting applications from coaches interested in being considered for Team Management positions within the 2017 Queensland U16 Program.

The Queensland U16 Red and White teams will compete in the 2017 National U16 Championships on the Gold Coast at The Southport School from Sunday 24th September to Saturday 30th September 2017.

The following Team Management staff are open for application.

FANCY SPENDING MORE TIME IN NOOSA - CALL FOR COACHING APPLICATIONS - NOOSA DOLPHINS RUGBY

All positions are now vacant and we are seeking coaching applications for all teams from U6 to U17 Juniors, plus Colts for 2017, Reserve Grade and A Grade. Applications should include a coaching CV and be lodged with president@noosarugby.com.au for consideration by the rugby operations committee. Applications close on the 9th of December 2016. Please feel free to email any enquiry in the first instance, as the position is generally volunteer, but some reimbursement of expenses may be available for a suitable A Grade Coaching candidate.



ST EDMUNDS COLLEGE IPSWICH 1st XV RUGBY 2017

Applications are now open for a suitable candidate to work with our First XV for the AIC Rugby 2017 season. The coaching position would work alongside our two other appointed coaches focusing on forwards/set piece areas. The players will soon complete the first phase of their preseason and they will commence the second phase in late January building for the 7 week AIC season staring in late April 2017. The College is now seeking king an individual to join the coaching team from phase 2 who is passionate about their rugby and has the drive to meet the challenge of improving our First XV performance.

The following criteria have been determined as key indicators in selecting the succesful candidate:

  • Level 2 coaching certificate
  • Current Smart Rugby accreditation
  • Creating a positive team environment
  • Conducting planned and structured coaching sessions
  • Good communication skills with players and stakeholders
  • Strong knowledge of effective/succesful/modern forward play and set piece
  • Ability to work with the other team’s coaching staff for the overall benefit of both teams

Maroochydore Rugby Union Club - 2017 A-Grade Coaching / Managing Positions

Maroochydore Swans Rugby Union Club is taking applications for coaching and managing positions for the 2017 season, for our A-Grade team. The Swans is the longest established club on the Sunshine Coast, with a 42-year history, and fields teams from under 6s to under 17s, as well as women’s sevens, senior reserves and A-grade.

We welcome applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates.

HIGHFIELDS REDBACKS RUGBY UNION CLUB MUSTER

Highfields Rugby Club are excited to announce they will be re-joining the Downs Rugby senior competition in 2017 with approval to field an A Grade side into the Risdon Cup.

The club is lucky enough to have a brand new three field facility, a strong junior and teenage base of players and an expanding town to support the move back into Senior Rugby.

The Redbacks will be holding a muster on November 6th at the Highfields Sports Ground from 1pm, and the club wants to invite and prospective players along to get an insight into their 2017 plans.

NERANG BULLS RUGBY UNION CLUB - HEAD COACH 2017

Application are now open for Nerang Bulls Rugby Union Club Head Coach for the 2017 season. The Nerang Bulls is a small but enthusiastic club with a proud history of high achievement in the Gold Coast rugby competition. The club is located at Carrara on the Gold Coast and is only about 15 minutes to the beaches of Surfers Paradise. The club is now seeking an individual who is passionate about his/her rugby and has the drive to meet the challenge of improving our senior teams to once again be a competitive force on the Gold Coast.

The following criteria have been determined as key indicators in selecting the successful candidates:

  • Level 1 coaching certificate
  • Current Rugby Smart accreditation
  • Creating a Positive team and club culture
  • Focus on player development/welfare on and off the field
  • Conducting planned and structured coaching sessions
  • Good communication skills with players and other stakeholders
  • Development of a pre-season player fitness programme
  • Ability to work with the other team’s coaching staff for the overall benefit of both teams

Expressions of Interest - Helensvale Senior Program 2017

The number one community rugby union club on the Gold Coast is currently seeking suitable personnel to fill a number of senior coaching and management roles for season 2017. The club currently fields three senior men’s teams in the Gold Coast and District Competition along with women’s and colt’s teams in Brisbane Competitions. In 2016 all five teams qualified for finals with the club aiming for even greater success in 2017.

Expressions of Interest are being sought for the following positions in all grades:

  • Coaches
  • Team Managers

Key requirements

  • Innovative coaches with the ability to plan, design, implement and review training programs consistent with the clubs values and philosophy to ensure development and enjoyment.
  • Proven experience and success at an equivalent level or similar environment essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage players, staff and volunteers.
  • Excellent rugby knowledge within contemporary contexts.

It is an ARU requirement that all coaches have been accredited under the "Smart Rugby" program in addition to having Level 1 or Level 2 accreditation. Helensvale Rugby Union Club is keen to help coaches develop their skills, and will provide assistance in gaining accreditation if required.

Logan Saints seek coaches for 2017 season

In 2016 Logan City (Logan Saints) Rugby Club contested the Brisbane Premiership Division in First to Third Grade, Normanby Cup (Friday Night competition) and the Women’s competition. The club has now been promoted to the Queensland Premier to compete in Premier Reserve Grade in 2017, before joining the Premier Grade competition in 2018.

Logan Saints Rugby is looking to secure its future success with the club’s ascent to the Queensland Premier competition and boasts arguably the best club Rugby facilities in Brisbane.

The club is now calling for applications for the following volunteer positions

  • Premier Reserve, head coach and assistant coaches
  • Premier Colts, head coach and assistant coaches
  • Coaches and assistant coaches for the various senior grade teams
  • Fitness/conditioning coach
  • New and returning coaches are encouraged to apply.

    It is an ARU requirement that all coaches have been accredited under the "Smart Rugby" program. Level 1 & 2 criteria will also be considered desirable.
