Easts Rugby Union, founded in 1947, are a community club based at Norman Park in Brisbane. With over 1000 juniors and 250 senior players across over 65 junior teams and 9 senior teams. Easts are a community focussed club that provides opportunities for all players, of all levels, to play Rugby. Easts will be appointing a Head Coach – 1st Grade for the 2019 season and invite all interested parties to apply.


  • Provide leadership and direction to the Senior Grades coaching teams/ playing group
  • Assist in developing and implementing the Rugby programme at Easts
  • Liaise with external support staff (Physio/ Medical/ S & C) to deliver a co-ordinated programme
  • High level understanding of technical and tactical components of the game
  • Ability to assist in recruitment and retention of players
  • Be a positive contributor to club culture and standards
  • Excellent communicator that is relationship focussed
  • Excellent organisational skills and planning ability (Season Plan / Session Plan)

Essential Requirements:

  • Smart Rugby Qualification
  • Level 2 Coaching Qualification
  • Working with children check or ability to obtain
  • Experience as a Head Coach or experience coaching 1st Grade
  • Availability for full season (November 2018 – August 2019)

Desirable Criteria:

    Level 3 Coaching Accreditation Level 4 Coaching Accreditation Drivers Licence

GPS Rugby Club - Head Coach and Assistant Coach for all grades

1st to 7th grade, Ladies and Colts 1, 2 and 3

GPS compete in the Brisbane Premier Grade competition and is located in the suburb of Ashgrove. We are one of the oldest clubs in Queensland rugby, tracing its heritage back to the Past Grammar club formed in 1887. We field 7 men's teams, 1 women's and 3 Colts teams. In 2018 we had 9 out of our 11 teams making finals with the most notable our Premier team winning the competition for the 1st time in 22 years.

We are now looking for coaches who is committed to developing players and helping to create an environment of pride in the jersey and club and steer us into a new era of success.

An opportunity for you to be a part of the club and have an introduction into top level club Rugby, with managers required for all of our teams above. General administrative skills preferable and availability to attend training/game day as required.

Trainers / Medical
Level 1 and level 2 Sports trainers required. These roles range from on field trainer. We have multiple positions available and provide education and training to those who are successful for this role.

Game Day Assistants
Be a part of the team on game day, helping to set up and look after the players and dressing room.

Caboolture Rugby Union Club Coach and Manager Applications 2018

Caboolture Rugby Club, one of the up and coming clubs in Queensland, is seeking expressions of interest for senior men’s and women’s head coaching positions.:

  • 1st XV Head Coach
  • Women’s Program Head Coach with an interest in developing Open women’s rugby & to provide support for our U12, 14, 16 & U18 girls programs

Our club is dedicated to competitive rugby, and currently compete in the Queensland Suburban Rugby Union Competitions Barber Cup and Pegg Cup. All positions are volunteer appointments, however, the club runs an extensive volunteer recognition program to support and recognise our volunteer workforce including accreditation and professional development opportunities.


  1. Smart Rugby Compliant and have an ARU coaching Level 2 as minimum. Developing Level 1’s with extensive experience will be considered.
  2. Innovative coaches with the ability to plan, design, implement and review training programs consistent with the clubs values and philosophy to ensure athlete development and enjoyment.
  3. Proven experience and success at an equivalent level or similar environment essential.
  4. Demonstrated ability to manage players, staff and volunteers.
  5. Excellent rugby knowledge within contemporary contexts.
  6. Current Blue Card or ability to attain.

    The Head Coach of the Queensland Women will have 2 distinct areas of responsibility.

    • In charge of the delivery of the best Rugby Super W program in the country on behalf of Queensland Rugby Union
    • Assist in the coaching of the Queensland Wallaroos PONI group in preparation for the test series against the New Zealand Black Ferns

    Rugby Development Manager Position at Norths Rugby Club

    The Rugby Development Manager is responsible for the delivery of the Club’s participation goals via schools and player development pathways. Their efforts will promote the benefits and reputation of our club and build the quality and quantity of registered player as a result.

    A key outcome of the role will be to attract, retain players and coaches through the development, delivery and implementation of the Club’s Rugby Development Programme

    The role will work closely with the Club General Manager, Key Committee members and external bodies such as the QRU, BJRU, GPS, AIC, TAS and State school bodies within our catchment.

    Senior Grade Coach Positions Available at Norths Rugby Club

    North Brisbane Rugby Club was established in 1928 and has a strong family culture with a focus on the values of Community, Challenge and Respect. The Club competes in the Brisbane Premier Rugby Competition. Norths Rugby Club is experiencing a period of strong growth on and off the field with senior team across the Grade, Colts and Women's competitions.

    2019 Gold Coast Cyclones Coaching and Management Postions

    Gold Coast District Rugby Union (GCDRU) are looking for Under 17 Cyclones coaching and management positions for 2019.

    It is intended that the team will travel to Japan over the period 30th September to 4 October 2019 to participate in the World Youth Rugby Invitational in Fukuoka Japan.

    GCDRU is seeking individuals that have serious passion and drive for developing players in the game of rugby union.

    The following key indicators to fulfil the role:

    • Minimum Level 2 Coaching Accreditation.
    • Current Smart Rugby accreditation.
    • Outstanding and proven ability to lead.
    • Expert and proven coaching knowledge and skills.
    • Excellent understanding of the components that contribute to high performance rugby.

    • Availability for the program from September 2018 till October 2019.
