Queensland Rugby is committed to educating coaches within the community and conducts courses throughout the state. All courses are professionally staffed and all instructors receive specialist training in ARU course delivery. Courses are specifically designed for the age of the players and the experience of the coaches.

Coaching Courses

Smart Rugby (Safety course mandatory for all coaches and referees)

Coaching Kids Rugby (Minimum requirement for coaches in under 6's through to under12's. SmartRugby is included in this course)

Foundation Course (Entry level course for coaches involved in U13 - Seniors. The course focuses on laws, technical skills/drills and effective coaching practice. SmartRugby is included in this course. Post course assessment and exam available to complete level 1, this is a minimum requirement for junior club, school and senior Rugby.)

Level 1 Coaching Accreditation (Available after attending a Foundation or Coaching Kids Rugby and are currently SmartRugby compliant.)

Level 2 Coaching Course & Accreditation (Intermediate level course focusing on developing a coach's tactical knowledge of the game)

Advanced Coaching Seminars (Presentations by professional coaches on the current practices involved in the game)

Level 3 Coaching Program (ARU coaching program designed for coaches involved at premier/representative level)
